From the restless ghost of Colonel Francis Windebank on Dead Man’s Walk to the headless horseman believed to be George Napier, echoes of the past still linger in the shadows. The Castle Mound whispers of Mary Bland’s tragic end, while the crypt, over 900 years old, chills visitors with reports of heavy footsteps, thrown stones, and an eerie sense of being watched.
