Ghostly Nights are extremely proud to welcome you to Kents Cavern, undoubtedly one of the most important sites for prehistoric Palaeolithic archaeology in Britain, providing information on the climate and environment for the last 385 million years.

The earliest traces of human presence found here date back at least 500,000 years, with a human jawbone found recently that is dated at least 41,000 years old, the oldest human bone ever found in Britain.
Not only this, but a complete skull of a female bear found in 1947 and dated around 420,000 years old is on display here, among many other items discovered in the caves in the last several hundred years digging.
Upon walking into the caves, into a constant 14 degrees all year round, you'll be following in the footsteps of early adventurers who unearthed an array of bones and artefacts back to a time when the cave was home to ancient humans, sheltering from extreme weather, making fires, shaping tools and hunting Ice Age animals.

Several visitors and staff members have reported hearing disembodied voices deep within the caves. Footsteps and strange noises have been heard, despite no one else being around.
There have been a few accounts of objects moving on their own in Kents Cavern. Stones or pebbles have reportedly been thrown in certain parts of the caves.

We typically start the night with a circle of protection and a chance to experience a few of the rooms without any equipment to immerse yourself into the night and tap into your sixth sense.
Throughout the night we will facilitate several vigils including modern and victorian techniques to investigate the hauntings.
A base-room will be provided to store all personal belongings during the night and to rest between vigils. Plenty of breaks will be provided.
You will also have 1 hour to explore and conduct your own vigils using any of the kit provided.
