With over 160 years worth of history, this military defence structure is a fascinating place to visit. There are many passages and rooms underground to be explored since it was restored in 1980, after it was handed over to Weymouth and Portland Council 10 years earlier and fell victim to vandalism. It now presides as a museum for the public to visit and enjoy the history it holds within.
Paranormal investigations here have concluded there are multiple spirits present within the Fort. Staff have felt such a presence that they refused to enter certain locations alone. The main haunting is thought to be that of a ‘whistling gunner’. There are also reports of a white figure amongst the web of tunnels underground and this location should not disappoint those seeking to experience the paranormal!

What to expect on the night...
We typically start the night with a circle of protection and a chance to experience a few of the rooms without any equipment to immerse yourself into the night and tap into your sixth sense.
Throughout the night we will facilitate several vigils including modern and victorian techniques to investigate the hauntings.
A base-room will be provided to store all personal belongings during the night and to rest between vigils. Plenty of breaks will be provided.
You will also have 1 hour to explore and conduct your own vigils using any of the kit provided.
